It couldn't hurt since the versions are mostly compatible unless you have anything specialized from the new version. Once they released 2.67 with the SSS people reported the Alpha not working correctly. It's worth a go at 2.66 to get you by until they fix that alpha problem. You sir are a lifesaver...

First of all, thanks everyone for your replies. The first thought that comes to mind is that the alpha channel is premultiplied. By default, Cycles uses direct linear, not premultiplied alpha. Look under the Render tab of the Properties view for the "Film" section. There should be a checkb...
