Re: NiOh (Le Samurai Dank Souls!)

I think I'm done with this game. :rage: I've tried to beat Ice @#$*)(#$ over 3 sittings now, and the cheese factor is annoying me to the point of irritation that I don't like having with games anymore. I don't feel like exiting the level, or grinding for more crap. I'm somewhere between 54-58, and I...

Re: NiOh (Le Samurai Dank Souls!)

I've seen both via trailers, but so far I've only finished the tentacoo sea blob That one took the least amount of tries so far, although I had some random BS like getting one shotted a few times when I'm trying to recover my guardian spirit, or self rolling off the dock when trying to dodge. :rage:...

Re: NiOh (Le Samurai Dank Souls!)

Yep that one. Didn't know if spoilers mattered or not :XD: I would let him sword dash into a pillar and hit him as he tried to back dash, was only way I could keep from getting waxed. I'm not sure if I'm going full ninja build mostly cuz I essentially have no idea what I"m doing  (sort of)...

Re: NiOh (Le Samurai Dank Souls!)

 As long of all that is there to serve a purpose of variety and not explicit strategy, I guess I'm okay with it. It feels like there's so much to micro manage at times though. I'm starting to move through stuff semi regularly. Hit 'n Run mechanics work most of the time, but yeah of course the...

Re: NiOh (Le Samurai Dank Souls!)

 Well if that is the Japan design processing of always being reactive that explains why successes are so hit or miss. Without playing a Souls game but knowing how those, NG and other styles of games that flaunt challenge, I tend to assume the completion relies upon resolving patterns which su...

Re: NiOh (Le Samurai Dank Souls!)

I dunno, just seems like you'd rather debate the proximity to Souls than NG, I get it that it's close to Souls in mechanics, but still so much of TN's experience with NG is there for me. I agree it's almost like a greatest hits for a Koei game. I don't see much Warriors-esque stuff in there, b...

Re: NiOh (Le Samurai Dank Souls!)

As I was concerned might happen, spent all weekend playing this. The difficulty finally popped up. I don't know how Souls games manifest their difficulty, but TN still but tons of Ninja Gaiden levels of bull crap in it. The 2nd boss is essentially Alma 2.0. It took me better part of 5 hours to figur...

Re: NiOh (Le Samurai Dank Souls!)

Initial Feelz After first two tries I was already bored with the game, but I gave it another shot today. Wasn't even the difficulty, just the potential repetition of doing the same crap over again and save points are spaced out too much. I also really had to ratchet up the brightness. That finally m...

Re: Png vs tga

A thing: more editable, because Photoshop, and lots of ppl use it, has no PNG alpha support, you need to use additional tools (I have SuperPNG) to restore alpha for editing. I noticed some porters don't even bother looking into their channels and sometimes specular maps or other additional data get...

Re: Blender: Superskin (Cycles) - ProtocolX27 Style

Sorry, I have tendency to forget to check these topics since there aren't posts very often. I wouldn't call myself an expert, I'm still learning, and the examples you posted are mind boggling. I think those you posted blow mine away. I think they could be possible, but I don't know for sure how to i...
