Updated XNALara .mesh.ascii importer for Blender 2.69

Post by FigureSculptor »

I got a couple PMs from people letting me know that my import script had been broken by one of the last few Blender updates (or possibly by one of my updates to the script), and the bone hierarchy wasn't coming in properly.

I found a little time today to debug and update the script. You can find the new version here:

Thanks for your work and also for sharing it with us! :D

Do you have any plans to write an exporter script as well? :)
(I know we already have one for the old Blender versions, which works very well, but just wondering. xD)

Thanks, FS!

I 2nd that question. Although I don't mind 2.49 now, it would be pretty crazy to make the exodus to a newer version altogether. 8-)

Sorry to say, I don't have any plans to write an exporter. I know we could use a good exporter for 2.6x. I'm at a point where even launching 2.49+ annoys me. But writing a whole new export script would realistically take more time than I could make available right now.

The old exporter wasn't by me, though, it was by Dusan, the original author of XNALara, IIRC.
