I know this is late, but firstly, are the XNA models availible?

If so, go get the blender script to export the models.

Things brings them in with textures, rigs, and everything.

Blender can now export FBX files. So all the bones come out with the character.

You will have to probably fix the materials though as for some reason theyc ome in invisible.

Or in Blender, erase them out of the alpha channel (except for the ones that actually need it.)

Hope that helps.

Oh, if you want to rig them yourself, just export as OBJ, but try to make sure all of the files and .mtl file are in the same folder because depending on which Autodesk tool you are using, results may vary.
