Well here's my initial go using Goha's method. I think it's better than what I had, but I'm being a bit uptight and think it could still be better. I'm just not sure how I want to adjust it yet.

So far this is what the back looks like. Haven't updated the shoulders or anything yet at least with this method.

I think the only way you'll see clearly whether the parts glow or not is by dimming the lights. I don't think they get brighter via adjustment, it's just that those render groups aren't affected by light as far as I know.

Right, I had tested that, and they do still show up in zero lighting. At least I know I got the render group / config stuff right. I think it's a matter of playing with the brightness of the texture file and positioning of the mesh until its where I can tolerate it :XD:
