Blender help!!

I'm new here so bare with me xD

Anyway I have blender 2.49b and python 2.6.2 installed and whenever i need to import/export a .mesh ascii file I get an error but if I import/export with the mesh acii script (the one that doesn't support bones) everything is fine :( help please!!!

Make a screenshot of the small black console that pops along with blender. The error would be shown there.

AttributeError: group does not exist!

Apparently one of the meshes is using a render group that does not exist. Try to find that mesh that is not using the right render group.
Here's a list of allowed render groups in xnalara as well as their correct setups.

It may be some trial and error for you, but at the same time it may be good practice w/ Blender which can be daunting at first.

Are you having issues on Import and Export or just Export?

I forgot to ask if this model was XPS or XNALara 9.7+. Apparently XPS has several new render groups which might cause the error for the old 1.4 importer.

Yes it is XPS :)
But I have a question: If I finished the mesh mod in XPS and when I'm saving it as a .mesh item I check the box "use old generic format" does that change anything?

Have you tried other models on import, or just a mod that you made in XPS? It may not hurt to also try using the old format version for mesh.ascii.
