Help with exporting please...

Post by ran76 »

I wanted to re-try my hand at making mods, redo some crappy 1st attempts. I figured working in Blender would have better results. But I keep getting ""Python Script Error. Check console" when I try to export the model to mesh.ascii. what's worse, it seems to be random. It works for some models, but not others. And honestly, I have no clue what to do about it. any help will be greatly appreciated

What does the black window say when you export it? The error message is on there.

Did you make sure Python is installed? Also are you using Blender 2.49b?

It's probably an 'x not in list' error. :XD:

But waiting for a screenshot of the black log window. :)

Check your mesh with "head" bone. It might not be parented.

That may also be the older import script. I thought the latest was 1.7, I'll have to double check.

what I'm trying to do with this particular mesh is extract the head wings and main wings of the UMvsC3 Morrigan as separate meshes. I was able to export the head wings with no problems, but the main wings are being a stubborn bitch. I don't even touch the bones on the model. you'd think if I can get the head wings without a problem, the main wings would be just as easy.

If its an XPS model its probably an XPS problem. Why don't you just export the model as .obj and grab those wings and rig them?
