Strange Texture problem
Hey guys, so I'm having a slight problem here. I recently started using the new 10.9.6 version of xps and everything was going great until I decided to go back and fix a few of my models.
So I load them and this is what I get, models with a bad case of sunburn.
They worked perfectly fine in 10.9.5, so I went back to 10.9.5, but when I opened it, it gave this error
My question now is, how can I get 10.9.5 to work again, or how do I get my textures to not show up so strangely.

Re: Strange Texture problem
Older XPS versions have that exe killswitch that stops you from opening that version again.
As for those models drag the lightmap.png and bumpmap.png from your common folder to your models folders hopefully it'll fix it.

Oh, I didn't know it had a kill switch.
Dragged the maps, still have the same issue.

Re: Strange Texture problem
Did you reload the models or just reload the textures? I know certain textures don't re-apply without reloading them.
Also are the lightmaps in the models' folder when you convert to .mesh?

Re: Strange Texture problem
I don't convert my models to .mesh, I leave them as mesh.ascii as I prefer using the "load Generic Item" option
I reloaded the models and I reloaded the textures. same problem, perhaps if one of you guys can download them and have a look http://riccochet2005.deviantart.com/art ... -402729358 these are the original ones that worked fine 2 days ago.

Re: Strange Texture problem
Hmmm, but then I would have to do it everytime I work on those models, and whom ever else uses it would have to do that as well

Can't download stuff right now but the dark textures your model has is suggesting to me that the mesh file is calling for a texture that is not there or its set to a render group that needs one more texture to display the model properly.

Re: Strange Texture problem
Actually that latest version of XPS sets the lighting to something much much darker than those in the older versions, so you really have to bump the brightness level up if you want to see your models but at the expense of washed up backgrounds. I think the reboot version of XPS without the killswitch has been released in XNAaraL's site.
