XPS New Features
I just saw the 10.9.7 version release today and I think I like what I see. Can be really useful for Tekken models that have wrapping textures.

Re: XPS New Features
Sooo how does that work in terms of the models?
Is that allowing a single mesh with multiple materials, or something different?
I don't understand how that benefitted the before & after pic.

Re: XPS New Features
You know how you only have 1 UV mapping for models. You can have 2 now. So for example if you have textures that wrap or repeat you can now bake proper occlusion on the models because you're baking them on a different UV map and not the wrapping/repeating textures.
If you look at the first pic there's light all over the place, 2nd pic has shadows, etc. It's basically gonna let you easily bake AO on the models.

Re: XPS New Features
a lot of games have multiple uv channels, however, it is rare extractors extract them both. re6 stages have separate lightmap uv channels so its good for that. so that means there must be new render groups to handle this.

Same render groups, you just set the #UV layer you want the texture to use.semory wrote:a lot of games have multiple uv channels, however, it is rare extractors extract them both. re6 stages have separate lightmap uv channels so its good for that. so that means there must be new render groups to handle this.
That's a really interesting update.
BTW, FF XIII uses 2 UV layers... does Noesis export them? I don't remember.
