Hi, im new here and i have a question

Post by zherot »

I have been learning how to make models in xnalara and blender, the thing is i encountered some weird thing, the hair dosent show transparency at all, it shows like a blocky thing all together and thats it, i found this info n the net:

http://sticklove.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=439

I followed the steps of the second guy and i already used the tutorials of xnalara to blender in devianart, but still i cant find how to fix this issue, here is what im talking about in an image:

The link you posted already shows you how to fix that problem. Set your render group at 25 or any other that supports transparencies (ex. Hair should be 25_hair_1_0_0). You're in bad shape if your diffuse image has no alpha channel.

Get rid of the all the "Model001_" written before the render groups that should work.

Edit... I should have asked if you were trying to render that in blender or if you are porting that to xnalara.xps

Probably because there's no alpha on your textures.

prbably in blender. setting alpha in blender is a pain in the ass; like 3 or 4 buttons u gotta toggle to enable it.

when you create the material and add the texture there should be options in one of the panels to "use alpha," it's not enabled by default. although the script should recognize render group 25 and toggle it for you; you might want to ask the guy who wrote the script (FigureSculptor, who is member here) why it doesn't do that and if he can implement it for ya. what happens when u render? i forget but i dont think blender implements alpha perfectly in the 3D preview panel.
