Whats your favorite old school console?
I remember getting a Genesis/Megadrive for Christmas back in 1991. My first games were Sonic The Hedgehog and Streets of Rage. It's still fun to play to this day, especially when getting together with friends for some Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat 2 tournaments.

Re: Whats your favorite old school console?
I'd have to say the NES (Famicom to me) and the SNES (Super Famicom to me).

If this is true then it's probably a no go for me. Getting too old for videogames anyway.semory wrote:anyone planning on getting the new xbox/playstation next year?

i just hope they dont kill discs and do cloud gaming. that would sucks big time. would also spell retirement for me since download speed is horrible in my country.
ah my fav old school console... definitely the Micro Genius (its basically the name for Famicom clone here since at that time Nintendo doesnt have presence yet in this part of the world )
Also, the PS1 and the Dreamcast. I miss the PS1 and Dreamcast era so much.

I give it 6 months after release then the market will either be flooded with lock-hacked units or the entire line will die out a miserable death for its blatant abuse of commercialism.iheartibuki wrote:If this is true then it's probably a no go for me. That's a pretty old article. Sony's CEO Jack Tretton said in an interview that he doesn't support the idea. But if they do go through with it, I won't be getting one.iheartibuki wrote:If this is true then it's probably a no go for me. He does have a say in it, but it doesn't mean he'll get what he wants though. Sony is a Japanese firm and from what I've read, they pretty much have a top-down approach to management from the "main base" to their global subsidiaries.Arch-vile wrote: That's a pretty old article. I'll be taking a "wait-and-see" approach. If Sony's smart, they'll realize that anti-consumerism practices like this ain't gonna take off. If not, like I said, you can pretty much count me out, regardless of any great new games on the horizon. I will not support this business model, and will therefore vote with my wallet!

LOL you are never to old for anything... I know some dudes who are in their 60's and just got their PhDs. It's just a matter of if you have the time and the money to have all the fun .
do i have one of these?
