It is nothing like photoshop. You should use one of the 3DS Max tutorials on TRF, since you are supposed to export the scene as obj and render in 3ds max.

Meh, i found Gimp, so i will just use 3ds Max to get Max type Models and Export them to obj so they can be Loaded into Blender.

Does Max have a function like blender where you can separate meshes by "P" then "Selected"?

Select the stuff you want to separate in edit poly mode, then right click and look for detach. ;)

Hello friends. Umm... does anyone know how can I apply the lightmaps and specular maps correctly?. I've read that in the case of the specular I only have to create a bitmap material and load the image in the section of reflect, but so far it looks like a wax doll :D . I don't think that should happen.

I really need some help, please....

Thank you.

I don't think you need to/you can place lightmaps in 3dsmax :P BUT you can generate your own ones within 3dsmax :D

Ummm... I'll check it out. Thank you BlueJ97.

Another question, does anyone know where can I find a good tut that explains how to use IES lights in MAX???. I want to achieve softer shadows and Vray Lights are giving me a headache in that topic.
