Re: FINAL FANTASY
WOAH and this came out of nowhere too!
Available now on Steam or on Square Enix's official store page. Both are the same price. Won't matter which one you will buy as it is similar to the FFVII PC re-release with the interface and syncronisation to your SE account. Steam version just means it will appear officially on your profile's list of games of course.
I'll probably wait for a sale or discount, since it would be like the 3rd or 4th time I bought this game, just like with FFVII.
But seriously, WTF!
For the unaware, the point of this, and like the FFVII PC re-release before is that these games have been optimised to run on modern PCs. The original retail disc PC versions from over decade ago (1998 and 2000 respectively), are incredibly dated and runs into compatibility issues, unless you have old PC hardware with Windows 95 to XP.

Re: FINAL FANTASY
Because you have a thing for brooding emos!
But yeah, VIII is my personal favourite of the PS1 games.
The highscool days feel the game had came at the right time for me too.

Re: FINAL FANTASY
LMAO what did you expect honestly?
Just look at all the previous remakes of FF1-5 PLUS VII and VIII re-release.
It shows a pattern of SE's laziness with remaking stuff.
Except VII and VIII were rereleases.
