Huge? They don't look huge to me, they usually export at 1280x720 and those are smaller than that 
They're probably pulled by the 360 version of the game though, which lets you extract the original screenshots without uploading them on the internet... you'll avoid most of the compression artifacts that way

A modded 360 can screen cap at a full 1920 by 1080, but that anti aliasing is still pretty wretched, not sure how to get around that without a capture card.
