Dat's why it's still in testing, sheesh!TRDaz wrote:But still, they could have at least not be lazy and make different defaults

Re: Tekken 7
1P/2P default design costumes have practically been the same for pretty much ALL fighting games and their characters, so it's like standard procedure really.

Re: Tekken 7
^ True, although you can make some slight alterations to costume design while still making the character recognizable. Nina, for example, has changed wardrobe over the years from the very first Tekken til T5, so IMO she's due for a makeover. Another example are the MK characters, though I find the more recent costumes a bit too "flowery" for my tastes.
I know though that that Alisa costume is still a placeholder: Harada has mentioned a while back that she needs to change her outfit.

Re: Tekken 7
That's the thing, for the huge majority of the time, most of the default costumes just have slight variants in the design or more detail in sucessive games, but at the end of the day, it's still recognisable to their respective characters.
And it would be nice to have extra new costumes without it being done via DLC. Fighting games even to this day could do with more choice and variety as standard.

Re: Tekken 7
I think Tekken & MK fall on opposite ends of the spectrum. Tekken rarely changes defaults whereas MK always changes defaults.
I think customization options, but they always fall in the way of radically wacky over subtle.
Stage transitions have potential. Did I read that it'll have DOA esque powerblows now too?
