BOSSES GUIDE!
okay after trying and dying again and again and again for so many times, ive noticed some weaknesses that the bosses have in this game that you can exploit to your advantage. im posting em here for your reference should you ever have a hard time getting past them :)

1. CLERIC BEAST

The first boss you encounter in this game. He's huge and intimidating, and you have to fight him on a narrow bridge with not much room to move around. He has long arms that could go into Dhalsim-mode and hot you from a distance. It's his strength but also his weakness; HE CAN ONLY HIT YOU AT A DISTANCE. So all you gotta do is zero in on him. Get reeeeally close. Notice how his body looks like an arch. if you get under, he wont be able to hit you. So while being really close, circle around until your face ends up in his butt-crack and strike. He will then try to create a distance by jumping away, simply get close and repeat the process.

ii) You can also try to parry his attack. Watch when hes about to poise for an attack, (usually you have at least 1 second) press L2 to shoot and you could stun him.

2. FATHER GASCOIGNE a.k.a (FATHER G or DADDY G)

Another very intimidating foe. His speed and flurry of attacks will shock you the first time you encounter him. But that is all he has to offer.
His weakness: HE IS VERY SUSCEPTIBLE TO PARRY

Thus be prepared, this boss with test your skill with timing and parry.

He has 3 forms that he will go throughout the fight:

i) Hunter Mode > He lose a quarter of his HP
where he fights with an axe and shotgun. His shotgun attack is most demeaning, as it can hit you at a range. While the damage isnt much, it could stagger you a little and make an opening for his series of melee attacks.

ii) Second Hunter Mode > He lose another quarter of his HP
he transforms his axe into a pollaxe, which has a longer reach. Now he has this one attack you should watch for where he spins the pollaxe like a tornado that could hit you from quite a distance and deal strong damage. But you could easily see when he prepares for this attack

iii) Beast Mode > any time after his HP gets below half
This mode will definitely wreck your shit up (as it did so many people) he goes into an extreme rage, his attack will be completely relentless and he wont let you catch a breath. You have to be extra careful here.

All of Father G attacks are fast and deadly, but they also have easy openings that you can exploit. Watch for the moment when he prepares for an attack OR when hes about to land a leaping attack at you - shoot him. Time this right and it will stun him (you will hear a loud chime and he will fall to his knees) quickly stand infront of him press R1 (normal attack button) to land an instant kill (while it doesnt instantly kill him, it will take away significantly huge chunk of his health)

When he turns into beast mode the battle seems harder but if you keep your cool, you will notice that its actually far easier when he was a human - Now he can no longer use his shotgun to pester you. The trick is dont go too far away from him or he will use a jumping attack that could kill you in one hit, but then dont get too close or he will tear you up with his flurry of combos. Hence, keep a MEDIUM DISTANCE. You can use the tombstones and trees to take cover. In beast mode he will become even more susceptible to parry now, and his moves are easier to spot when hes preparing for an attack (ex: he will slowly raise his arms upward or downward when hes about to unleash a combo) this is your cue to parry and hit him with an instant kill. two times should be all it takes to put him away for good.

Notes:

- There is also a cheap trick you can use to fight him. Run up to the stairs behind him, past the huge door on your left there should be a ledge. Descend below and you will end up on a roof. Wait for him to chase you. Soon as he jumps onto the roof, hit him with your combos and knock him off the roof. He will then get up, circle the graveyard, run up the stairs and make his way onto the roof again where you can just... well, knock him off it again. repeat until he dies but be warned, it might not work as effective once he turns into beast mode ;)

- If you have the music box that you obtained from a little girl NPC, you can use it when hes in beast mode to stun him - you can then circle behind him, hit him with strong attack (hold the R2 button until your weapon glows and release) and the finish him off with insta-kill attack (R1 after he fell on his knees) . But i dont recommend, since the animation for playing the music box is very slow and long, and it will make you very vulnerable. Also if he stands next to a wall or structure you wont be able to circle behind him, so its useless. Plus you can only use the music box to stun him ONCE.

people who are having trouble at this game are currently exploiting a bug that would spawn them millions of blood echoes (currency for buying items and leveling up) :? but it actually make the game harder because the higher the levels the more agrrssive and strong the enemies will get

to play this game in easy mode, all they gotta do is master the parry... its a really simple mechanic  lets you kill enemies with 1 hit and gives considerable amount of damage to bosses.

The guy I'm watching says the game difficulty is connected to your insight. So it's also connected to the blood echoes even after you trade them in?

Yeah it's similar to the way Humanity works in the Dark Souls games too.

yeah the higher your levels the stronger the enemies will become. like theyll get more hp and damage.
the higher your insight the more difficult they become. theyll get more agressive past 10 insight. once you accumulated 40 insight theyll learn new moves and attack patterns
