Reparenting in 3DS MAX

Okay, so, because I'm a dummy and a slow learner but also impatient, I'm wondering if anyone here can give me a concise description of how to reparent bones in 3DS Max. I'm trying to find tutorials online, but there's too much waffling about other irrelevant garbage and none of it is really to the point. Basically, my issue tends to come to this. I have access to BLOPS 3 and Alien Isolation models, but they all need jaws reparented and other face bones (sometimes). Can someone maybe give me a quick dot-point guide to what I should be doing? Is that even possible? Thanks in advance!
