Extracting models from Metal Gear Revengeance

Hey guys,
I noticed that the Sticklove group on deviantart ported a bunch of MGR models a while back, and I wanted to contribute to that. I just bought the game a few days ago, and I've really liked some of the models, which were never ported. Problem is, I can't figure out the most effective way to port these models... could someone lay it out for me?
Maybe a short tutorial on how to get the models out of MGR and into 3ds Max, then I could attempt the rest on my own
One example of a model I want to port is Courtney, she looks so cool... there is no complete game model of her, since you only ever see her top half in-game, but I thought I'd release her for people to mesh-mod so she looks complete
Anyway, thanks for your help, and great job on the other MGR models for those of you who contributed
