Congratulations to our winner Bluej97! And props to all the other contestants for a nice and varied selection of entries! Personally, I found this contest to be quite challenging. Hopefully the next one will be just as fun.

Aside from my sad scene and song based suggestions, how about a scenery competition? Where it's not the characters that's important, but the scenery surrounding them?

That's not a bad idea at all.
The scenery should be from a game, though, otherwise it wouldn't be fair.

Why not something with low-poly models? I think it was suggested by Mr.H as a joke, but it might actually be a good test of skills if you can make something good looking with low-poly models 
So something like PS1 - PSP era? I might release some unreleased stuff I have in my hard drive that way
