Now I really want a WiiU and this game because the amount of Sega and Nintendo fan service is too much. :feel: :runcry:

It ain't just costumes and games references, but in the actual gameplay too with the dedicated sections towards them!

Makes you think Platinum Games should just do all games for them now with whatever IPs they have and take them to another level of frantic awesomeness.

Do a baller lorr!

Devil May Cry 3 Writer Bingo Morihashi Worked On Bayonetta 2
BayonettaÔÇÖs story was written by PlatinumGamesÔÇÖ Hideki Kamiya, who also directed the game, but for Bayonetta 2, KamiyaÔÇöwho is acting as supervisorÔÇöenlisted the aid of a friend. Over on the studioÔÇÖs development blog, Kamiya reveals that he co-wrote Bayonetta 2ÔÇÖs scenario with one Bingo Morihashi, who happened to be a colleague from KamiyaÔÇÖs Capcom days.

ÔÇ£I chose Bingo for this job because he has a lot of experience writing for games that have a similar style to Bayonetta,ÔÇØ Kamiya wrote.

If youÔÇÖre curious, Morihashi is credited as one two scenario writers on Devil May Cry 3 (the other being Takayasu Yanagihara). He also worked as one of many Planners on Devil May Cry 2, was one of the scenario writers on DragonÔÇÖs Dogma, and is also credited as one of several writers for BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger.
That explains so much especially with the way the story pans out and why they also opt to redo/include the first game. It all makes sense! :o

Time travel and prequel related stuff! :P

So fab it seems familiar.

Also...... :(
Last week saw the release of Bayonetta 2 in Japan, and the gameÔÇöpublished by Nintendo, who also funded its developmentÔÇösold 38,828 copies. ThatÔÇÖs a far lower opening than the first Bayonetta, which was released back in 2009.

The original Bayonetta sold 135,242 copies on PlayStation 3 and 64,325 copies on Xbox 360 in its opening week in Japan. In comparison, Bayonetta 2 hasnÔÇÖt done nearly as well.

Siliconera
Ouch!

Hopefully it gets better later and and especially once it is released worldwide.

The curse of 3rd party games for Nintendo. :(

More Japan sales news that sheds light on it's low numbers.

Bayonetta 2 Sold Through 67% Of Its Shipment

Last week, Nintendo released Bayonetta 2 in Japan. The game sold 38,828 copies in its first week, and Japanese sales tracker Media Create says that it sold through 67.29% of its shipment.

As detailed in our previous coverage of the gameÔÇÖs sales, Bayonetta 2 sold far less than the original Bayonetta at launch (135,242 copies on PlayStation 3 and 64,325 copies on Xbox 360). Media Create says that this is partly due to the differences between the Wii U and PS3 (and 360ÔÇ▓s) audiences, but also the difference in the size of their userbases.

When Bayonetta was released, the PlayStation 3 had sold 3.73 million units in Japan. Meanwhile, the Wii U has only sold 1.93 million units in the territory thus far.
