One guy did figure that out, I think he imported Rayman, but I think that's easy since he has no limbs.
I want to port Sonic to TRLE, but I dunno how. I MUST GO ON THY QUEST TO FINd OUT!

I wanna port Ayane to TRLE, then I can make a Dead or Alive themed game!
xD
Or import Nami, and make a One Piece themed game!

Uhm, no.
While you can actually do that, TRLE has a polygon limit, so if you find a low-poly version of them, then you could.
Rayman was low-poly, so he worked. And the Sonic model I have is also low-poly, so I think he will work.
So yeah, no HQ models

Im sure there is a way to lower the poly on the model in a program... i think 3ds max has an option.

how would the joints for sonic work though ?

I dunno, same as Lara?
I think it works by linking vertices from one part to another or something similar
Sooo it could work in theory.

there's another model which has lara's joints
TRLE's animations are different
Lara's meshes are split joint by joint xD
so sonic would have stretched legs and and arms

Well, I'm using the 06 model, which is already somewhat stretched to have more "human" proportions.
And I actually went out of my way to separate all the parts like hands, elbows, arms, knees, pelvis, torso and all that.
Altho, by comparing the Sonic model to TRLE ones, it looks like Sonic has longer arms.

I showed this in chatbox, but I'll add it here, too.
