The tough thing is we live in a time when it's near impossible to say something that won't offend somebody. Just saying there are some basics which are helpful to avoid. ;)

This is the first area I made. It actually has two paths, but we'll get to that later. For now, the first path.

The first path is the one you see immediately. As soon as you get out, you will trigger enemies. You can avoid these, but not the ones you will encounter shortly after.

Even tho this structure has windows, you can't enter it.

I plan on implementing a trigger that will open the doors as soon as you kill all enemies. That kind of thing was in Sonic 06 as well.

Your goal here is to jump over the rocks. You can see a slope which you can use to jump over.

Aaaand this is the area under the rocks. You can see there's something else over the left side, but we'll get to that now.

This is the other path. It's actually one of the easier ones to find, but the other ones will be harder to find.

This is inside. The alternate paths will not only be shortcuts, but secrets as well. That way I can make secrets "reward" you in a way.

Some interesting layout designs there.

And dang, these old games sure as hell are full of blocky and structurly linear straights when you look back at it. :lol:

( not sure if you guys can see the end of that hallway, I couldn't since it's dark. Probably my monitor )
anyways, I started to build mine, based on one of Capcom's Horror Games ( Not telling which ) :P

I planned it to be a lab, but this is how it turned out.
I don't like how it feels right now, yet, I don't want to discard this place, I hope the geometry is good enough to use as a lab ( There's the hint :LOL: ) :)

probably need to make a few objects for this game too such as metal pipes and stuff, since the whole place is a research facility.

Wow You're right O_o the ground textures and the grandfather clock are similar to it, I never even thought of that :lol:

I was aiming more of a lab, research facility stuff but this happened instead :okay: I'll just modify everything to fit the setting D:
