I've been trying to get into mesh modding.
Been following these tutorials to the letter,

http://aydean.deviantart.com/art/XPS-Tu ... 02593&qo=2
but I always end up getting this error
Mostly with the adding hair to a model, and legs to a different torso. I don't see why it says the model is posed, coz when I load it, it's in the standard T-Pose
could anyone give me any advice regarding this.

Hey, most people here (well, the more 'active' members) use Blender for mesh-mods. It's a bit difficult to help without much experience with XPS modding.
So don't be surprised if it takes a while for someone to reply (with actual help), it's not your fault. Maybe it would be better to ask the person who wrote those tutorials?

I can tell you right now that the last error is prompted when the model you want to attach a mod ON is in some kind of a pose. Just reset that model's pose and attach the mod.

I have, have not gotten a response yet. I tried blender, but with no prior modelling knowledge, the learning curve is a bit steep, but I intend to learn it soon.Love2Raid wrote:Hey, most people here (well, the more 'active' members) use Blender for mesh-mods. That's just it, I haven't posed anything, all I did was align the hair with the head, and yet that error pops up.RoxasKennedy wrote:I can tell you right now that the last error is prompted when the model you want to attach a mod ON is in some kind of a pose. Re: Merging parts error
Well, how did you align the hair?
Did you use Ctrl+LMB to position it on the head or did you use the XYZ sliders?

Re: Merging parts error
Yup.
Looks like that's the problem.
You could use the Ctrl+LMB then move the mouse to move the hair and then adjust the height with the height slider if needed.
